Vote NO on HB1151 on Wednesday

Please, vote NO on HB1151 on Wednesday in the Criminal Justice Subcommittee.

Tennessee already has an indecent exposure law, so this bill is unnecessary.

Its sole purpose is to subject transgender people to harassment and possible arrest in locker rooms and restrooms.  This is clear from the way the bill discusses "a person [who] is a member of the opposite sex than the sex designated" for a particular facility, and from the discussion of gender dyphoria and so-called "gender confusion."

Even North Carolina's infamous bathroom bill, which resulted in a multi-million dollar loss to the state, did not include explicit criminal penalties.

This bill spreads fear of transgender people and it is inexcusable.
